Very nice! I'd rather that vest than the tusks personally! Given me something to think about for future hunting adventures.

i touch the tusks daily as i walk by them,they never cease to amaze me. i love the feel of the vest as i wear it.non hunters will never know.

"Amish Made" by my Neighbor and close friend , very good quality, sheep skin or quilted , thick padded or typical padding thickness and you won't have to take out a mortgage. let me know size and what you want will get you bottomline quote from my guy Andy Troyer.

All of my work is hand laced with kangaroo lacing which is much stronger and has a higher stretch rate than cattle leather laces and is much prettier than stitching from a leather sewing machine.

One does not rush into designing the nicest "things" made from the nicest hides, I constantly see/read things that I add to current designs and tell myself I'm glad I found that before I had "it" made.
Example: I want to add Black, Brown, "Grizzly" Bear hide/skin to the Backpack in my OP since the backpack is meant to be made of "bascially" every DG.

Got to messing around in the leather shop today and whipped up a couple of slides from a Cape buffalo hide one of our members kindly provided me. I haven't got to build to many things out of exotic hide, but I find it fun to work with. There is a lot of this hide left, so I'm going to see what else I can whittle out of it.
