Heym in .275 Rigby finished by Rigby. It has a nice straight comb stock. Very smooth action and trigger. And shoots better than it looks. Muzzle is threaded and capped.

Lop 14 3/8”
Barrel is 22.5”

Target is 5 shots at 100 yds using factory Hornady ammo

$3950 with out the scope.

It looks like it's not to particular what you put through it either, I love a rifle like that. Almost all my rifles like a couple of fouling shots put through them before they settle down.

Luv yer scope ! 3-9x36 Diavari-C ?

I’m no expert, but it looks to me like a 1970s to 1980s bonafide Rigby during the Ron Wharton era. Unlike many built on CZ and cut rate mauser actions of that era, this looks like a premium heym fit and finished in Rigby’s London workshop. Very nice @Altitude sickness

About the perfect caliber and at 1/3rd the price of a pre-ww2 version.

Good luck with the sale, it won’t last long priced as a non-rigby Heym of the same age!

“Here is one of the responses from Rigby when I inquired about the rifle.

Hello There

I am not sure what they did in full.

Some people here think they would have scoped, shot and tested the rifle.

Also some cosmetic work plus the engraving.

It would have been given an overhaul too.

I hope that helps.
Best Regards”

There are SR20's with that kind of stock and some with a Bavarian stock and some with a monte-carol stock. So the stock is unlikely to be done by Rigby.

Sr20's are nice rifles.

Yes, many have the typical Bavarian hog back stock. Fewer had this style stock. Rigby most likely added the Monogram. And maybe the Cocobolo forend tip

It’s pretty rare to find a Heym designed for the British/American tastes.

I’m rather surprised to see this rifle still available. I have seen many Rigby rifles from this era sold at auction in the UK for £3400 in pedestrian calibers, usually .270. This one is a 7x57 refined by Rigby!

Show me a better rifle at the price at Cabelas and I’ll stop boasting about it. GLWS.

Having an SR20 myself in 7x57 I can say it’s one of the finest bolt action rifles, and a much better rifle than its replacement the SR21

Yes, the SR21 and SR30 as currently produced by Heym suck by comparison.

If anyone has a Sako Grizzly or Brown bear in an elk cartridge, I would be willing to trade straight across

Or $2500 and buyer provides shipping label

Crazy cheap. The worst Rigby’s ever made were the 1970s and 1980s rifles made on CZ and ex-military mauser actions. Very little of their manufacture was done by Rigby. EVEN THOSE sell at auction in very common, low demand calibers for $3500+ at the London auction houses.

I can’t believe a Rigby finished Heym is being offered in 7x57 for $2500. Crazy talk. I can’t believe it has been up here for a week already.

If I did not have A Rigby HS in 275 it would have been gone my friend incredible value!!!

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?

Hi Green Chile, I just recently bought a 470 NE barrel for my Thompson Center TCR 83-87 single shot. Im just looking for some 470 NE to shoot at the range just to try it out. I dont need anything special but I just wanted to see what you have left. I dont necessarily even need a full box.
Thanks
Bill
