Heym express 600 NE

I just saw this one in Moscow .. I did not now that heym produced bolt action rifles for this caliber..
it is a 600 NE

Good Lord, I didn't know that it had ever been done. They should issue an antitank gun carriage with the purchase on which to mount it. Would love to look at that action - it seems awfully "normal" looking. And scoped!?!

Cem, I just did a quick search of their importer's website. Their list of available calibers did NOT include 600NE. You might try sending Heym an email to see if they build them on a special order basis.

Heym has been making a .600 NE bolt action rifle for some years. Personally, I don't see the point but to each their own.

I had one years ago in 500 NE......I know they also did 600 ...Possibly 577 but not sure....think it was only for a short period of time..... Could be wrong but don't think they make them anymore....

Was around mid 1990s I had mine....don't think I have ever seen another in 500 and def not in 600...

Just took a closer look at the 1996 Gun Digest...says it weighs about 9.9#.
Not having a big bore or ever even shot one myself, I have no real understanding of how that would go over in a 600NE.
Does that seem light to anyone else?

154lbs of recoil in a 12lb gun is about 180lbs of recoil in a 10lb gun. I know of no scope or mounts that can withstand that recoil. It’s over 150% the recoil of a 4-bore.

Exactly. Needs that antitank gun carriage. I dare say the bore is in pristine condition.

Reminds me of the half dozen boxes of 460weatherby ammo I’ve purchased at flea markets. Always 19 rounds in the box!

Hambrusch Hunting Rifles makes Bolt Action rifles in .600 NE They have detachable Magazines with 3 round capacities. Now , that's real artillery !

600 NE from a 10 pound gun... NOPE! but i really doubt that weight is for the 600 NE gun.

be neat to get a bolt gun in 577 NE though.
