154lbs of recoil in a 12lb gun is about 180lbs of recoil in a 10lb gun. I know of no scope or mounts that can withstand that recoil. It’s over 150% the recoil of a 4-bore.
600 NE is for sissies

Exactly. Needs that antitank gun carriage. I dare say the bore is in pristine condition.

Reminds me of the half dozen boxes of 460weatherby ammo I’ve purchased at flea markets. Always 19 rounds in the box!
The late Bill Quimby, had mentioned that he shot a .460 Weatherby once. Said he never wanted to shoot it again.Reminds me of the half dozen boxes of 460weatherby ammo I’ve purchased at flea markets. Always 19 rounds in the box!
No .. I did not ..Did you buy it?
AbsolutelyCem, your 460 Weatherby has enough "horsepower" to drop anything you might choose to hunt. Walking away from that Hyem Express 600 was a smart move.
Talking about moose hunting .. I am just leaving the house for a driven huntI carried a 460 Weatherby for a month moose hunting in one of the largest concentrations of brown bears in the world. Saw at least two dozen and was lights out on the moose. Not even a twitch.View attachment 308604
