I finally got my mounts back from my summer 2023 hunt and some of them have minor damage. I had insurance but they want a quote from a taxidermist to do the repairs. Unfortunately, no one around here will even look at them because they are too backlogged on work and I really wouldn’t trust the locals to touch them. Lol
It’s not major damage and I believe that I can fix them with some epoxy but I feel like the insurance should pay something. I spent way too much money to get damaged mounts.
Both of the horns on the impala are loose, appear to be cracked around the bases and you can move them back and forth. The pedestal had some bark fall off in several spots along about 15 inches of the limbs.
Any advice on how to get someone to give me a quote?
