That second one is a pretty good deal. Wondering if the receiver is aluminum or steel and if it has a kickstop...

no question a very good deal. while i have owned this gun in other calibers and is great in bad weather i no longer hunt in bad weather so now only have beautiful wood stocked Africa rifles. i paid $1100 years ago for a SS Stalker so very good price

Yeah; a couple weeks ago there was a 308 Winchester version of this rifle on the used rack at Scheel's for $499. I knew I should have taken advantage of it, but was gone when I went back. That being said, like yourself, I don't hunt in bad weather and I prefer walnut and blued steel; so I don't feel too bad.
