Not a “deal” per se but these Prechtl actions used to be $6500 in the white when NECG was importing them IIRC. Shame it doesn’t already have a 3 position M70 wing safety but a nice rifle nonetheless.

Looks like NECG has some left and have lowered the price a touch:

I have essentially the same gun. Hand detachable sidelock, 100% tasteful engraving, with perfect dimensions. This should be $6500 gun and would still be a good buy.

Markel O/U, even with great engraving are still hideous tools, imo. Long term, the price reflects that. Bet its A hell of a gun, if it catches your eye.

Overall, a bit of a clunker but it’s certainly inexpensive. It appears to be an FN action. If it were me, I’d try to pick it up <$500, Throw away the scope and mounts, recontour that stock, and make it into a quality working man’s rifle for <$1200 all-in. (Not counting optic)

It’s probably more accurate than it is pretty.
