Caveat emptor.

375 Rimless is NOT 375HH or 375HH Flanged.

It's a limited use esoteric cartridge of the early 20th century. Common slang is 375 2-1/4".

Also known as 9.5x57mm.

Close quarters caliber for medium sized non-dangerous game.
This I did not know...

Don't get the British started. There's ANOTHER 375 too:

And Don't forget the 375 Winchester Big Bore, a design of the 1970s for lever action rifles that is just a 357 magnum double-length.

Yes I actually knew what it was and thought it would be a neat rifle relegated to hogs and such.

Didn’t even pay attention to the 375 designation as the seller also refers to it as the 9.5x57 each time he mentions the cartridge.
Would you say that’s a reasonable price for what it is? If the bore is good etc..

I believe you can easily form cases from 8x57mm Rimmed Mauser brass. Since there is a 9mm, 9.3mm, and finally a 9.5mm mauser cartridge, I *think* you could just progressively run them through the dies, annealing after each step. Definitely true from 8 to 9 to 9.3 conversion. Don't quote me on 9.5mm without digging in with an expert.

Something in the same vein

For how much owners say they love their AHR rifles, you sure see them up for sale quite often.

This appears to be a really good price on a new Schmidt & Bender 1-5x Stratos ($1K less than list price). If I had a rifle with rail mounts I might have jumped on this already.

If anyone is looking for a really good LPVO for an AR or similar rifle, Eurooptic also has this Steiner T5Xi for sale at half its list price.

That's an exceptional deal on the rail mount.

Yes, I spent a few minutes this morning trying to figure out how I could put a rail mount scope on one of my rifles so I could justify the purchase.

Looks like someone snapped it up already.

Generally speaking, EAW Pivot mounts and the corresponding S&B rail "rings" (yes, not rings, but you get the idea) are the way to go. There are many one piece mounts in Europe compatible with particular rifles and this scope type as well. Blasers, Krieghoffs, Merkels, etc.

It's a very good design and it results in zero stress on the optic. It also allows you to perfectly adjust the eye relief with no regard for the turrets potentially conflicting with ring placement.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
