G'day from New Zealand

@TMS obviously, as gentlemen, we won't mention what transpired in the 2015 world cup.

Also, thank you for reminding me of my love of rugby. You've got me scouring youtube for videos now!

I have to admit that there is a little tension in our household during rugby season...... My wife wears a black jersey and........ well lets just say I wear green

Hunted w/ Wilderness Quest for Stag and Tahr. Had a great time. But, got stuck up the mountains just south of Fox Glacier during a storm for 4 1/2 days. Ann dubbed our tent the yellow submarine!
Hard to beat those mountains. Funny enough we just got washed out of our trip just north of Fox a few weeks back. Apparently 600mm of rain in three days is quite a lot.....

Welcome to AH. Enjoy the forum, it's very addicting.

Welcome to AH Jack!

Welcome! And since nobody has mentioned it, what would an Afican hunt be without a Jack Russell

Welcome to AH Jack!
Good win for the AB's over the weekend. Been an avid fan for the past 17 years, and flew over for the 2011 RWC. Got a little bit of hunting in over on the South Island and got myself a Tahr. Just a sensational country.
Nice to have you join us on the forum!

Take Care,

Welcome to the site. In my younger days I was an avid bow hunter. At age 70 I switched over to a crossbow. Do you hunt with rifles as well? Recently I discovered the writings of a fellow New Zealander named Nathan Foster. His gig is long range shooting. If that subject interests you, check him out. I've never been there but from what I've read, there is a lot of great hunting opportunities available.

Cheers for that. Nathan is a well established authority on the art of long range and like you say has written some pretty interesting stuff. I do love my rifles, its just the bow thing is so addictive. The more you play with them the more you realise how much you have to learn!

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
