Fresh From Germany: Mauser M98 125th Anniversary Cased Rifle in 8x57

Beautiful rifle! and great choice of cartridge!

My dream rifle is the 98 in 8x57 but at the time when I was buying the 7x57 was the only cartridge available and in stock (also at discounted price). So I settled on the 7x57, still wishing it was an 8mm though. Perhaps i might have an excuse to buy another when the opportunity arises

Nothing wrong with the M98 in 7x57....also a classic mauser calibre...love mine ..was just out putting a few rounds through it... ...but a matching 8x57 would be nice.....they got had of the anniversary ones in the shop here...but was in 30-06...so not correct to me... If it had been in one of the mauser cals I would have been very tempted....
