South Dakota fishing off the Missouri River Nov 2021, our catch of walleyes in about two hours. We got too cold, and we left before we could all get our limit. I was the only one to limit out. :)

This is why we go south for the winter, well that and to escape the snow, the cold and the darkness.

One of seven I caught today on a flyrod. 6” to 2 feet of water.

Figured I'd jump in on this. I'm 39 and have been fishing basically since I could walk. Was an offshore charter captain for a while but the grind wore me down. I've held my USCG OUPV ticket for 15 years. Primarily offshore fishing but I really, love it all.

It’s that time of the year again.
lake Tanganyika beckons with the annual Tanganyika Angling Challenge. I wasn’t able to attend this year for family reasons, but I thought I’d share a few pics anyway.
6day event is made up of 3 individual competitions.
day 1&2 - Ultralight, fished with 5lb mono.
day 3,4&5 - The Challenge, fished with 12lb mono.
day 6 - The Open, no restriction and a single prize of heaviest fish for the day.

some good fish were caught.
Notable catches were a 36,5lb Nile perch landed and released on day 2 with the 5lb line.

Day 4 produced a 63lb Nile perch on the 12lb line. This was also released alive

hopefully next year I will be able to fish again.

To my surprise a month before his 81st birthday my Dad called and said he’d like to try icefishing. Been trying for years to get him out with no success so was pretty excited. This is his first fish through the ice.

I managed to ice a decent pike.

Vundu can also walk on land. If a waterhole they are in dries up, they have the ability to walk/squirm a few hundred yards to the next water source.

Nice one Charlie!

I think that’s the 50 pounder also got one that was about 40. Had to put them back as they said ones that size are protected.

We call them Flatheads, Apps, yellow cats in Texas

Motto of the Flathead Club? "We Fish For The Fish That Eat The Fish You Fish For" Gotta love it!

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
