Delta from Atlanta to Joberg

Hi,
I just returned last week from a 10 day trip to the East Cape flying United through Newark. On the outbound flight the plane from Denver to Newark was over 3 hours late. I barley made the flight from Newark to Joberg but my rifles and baggage did not. I was leaving the next morning to East London and had to file a report with the baggage people in Joberg as well as the folks with Airlink. I had to leave my combinations for the locks on the rifle case and baggage with both as SAPS had to check the rifles into SA. I finally recieved both 3 days later in East London. The scope on 1 rifle was trashed internally (couldn't zero it) and the sling on my other rifle was on upside down as well as shooting 8" high. I don't have any idea what happend in those 3 days but it wasn't good. No problems on the return flight.

Yes. My friend had this seat going over in September. I upgraded and paid more money but his seat was better.
What did you upgrade to? My wife and I have the two seats (on the new seating chart) where 41j used to be and we’re considering upgrading. Not sure if it’s worth it

I believe it was Premium Economy. As I recall, it was about $1k extra.

When you say new what do you mean. New yesterday or new this season or…

That’s not bad. Flew in biz quite a bit internationally when I was still working, and then Premium Economy to London with the fam this year for vacation. Huge improvement from economy overall, but I think meals were what economy got, maybe with some improvement. Pricing wasn’t bad, given the travel time. The huge bump in cost is for full-up business class, so this seemed like a nice, comfortable in-between.

In the previous photo, you're looking at Delta's Business Class. They're actually individual suites, with slide close doors and seats that lay flat to become beds. Business class is running anywhere from $5-10k to J'burg now from the States. I can't say if it's worth it, but I will say, getting a decent night sleep in that lay flat bed makes the long flight "fly by", and having plenty of private space to spread out the rest of the time is a pleasure.

$3679 is a great price. I would grab it from Delta.
You are going to rock!

Depends on what class you were talking about…

It was never stated what class seats those were

I have 1,500,000 miles on Delta and have flown ATL to JNB round trip seven times. Five X hunting and Two X for business.

I have flown that flight in C+, PS and Delta 1

I am 6”2” and barely can stand it for 16 hrs in C+

Obviously Delta One is tremendous and the best way to go but $$$$$$$$. I’ve been fortunate to do that twice.

Premium Select is a great middle option and if I was 6’5” I would be doing whatever it took to get there. I am 6’2” and do whatever it takes to get there LOL

I can survive in Comfort+, but I can’t thrive and feel like shit when I get there

Hallo, ein Freund von mir lebt auf einer Farm in den Rocky Mountains.
Leider kam es dort in den letzten Wochen zu Bränden.
Hoffe es geht dir gut!?
