Yes my mistake. I seem to get directionally challenged when I get below the equator. [emoji849]

You will have a phenomenal safari! Tell Jason Bridger hello from Tom the spear chucker.

Well I finally figured out why I always have such trouble with directions in Africa. I've been holding my globe upside down!!!! [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]

But seriously we have arrived and Delta threw me a bit of a curve this year and flight 200 is leaving from the T terminal gate 8. Not to worry I found a nice libation just the same. We settled in at a place called Ecco. Stop by if you can.

Full report when I get back gang.

Have fun! Looking forward to the report when you return!

I too am looking forward to your report and I hope you are having/have had a great time there. Clive and Linda are great folks. Jason is first class and the tracking crew and staff are SECOND TO NONE… the most impressive tracking I've every been witness to along with their 20x eyesight! Fun folks- full of humor and good will!!

Just returned from my first African safari. Plains Game: 2 kudu, 1 impala, 1 warthog, 1 blesbuck, 1 springbuck, 1 red hartebeest.
Excellent hunt with PH Themba Dwesa and his tracker Vaga.

Delta flights 200 and 201 to say the least were less than promised.
SAA flights were exceptional from Jo'burg to Port Elizabeth and return.

The best hunting memories unfortunately were not caught on camera.

Kubusi Safaris was the outfitter, Tuskers Lodge was the base, near Graham town about 90 minutes from P.E.. The staff and food are first rate.

My packing list was spot on for the weather encountered.

This sight and all the posts I kept track of, were a huge help in the planning and execution, allowing me to have an enjoyable and successful first Afircan safari.

Overall travel as a first timer:
I had no problems traveling with a firearm. Henry Rifle Permits was a help, as well as a cordial tip to a socilicting SAPS agent of 20 rand traveling from Jo'burg to P.E. (as insurance that my rifle would make it to P.E. on the same plane I was traveling on).

I have already started planning another safari.

Hi PaulB. Would you be interested in another WJ Jeffery .450/.400 NE 3". It's an extractor model and in superb condition, cased as well. Made in 1908. The rifle is here in Texas.

I will take the knife for $250 shipped. Please tell me how you would like the payment.

Thanks-
