Hello,

I have very lightly used Dakota 76 375 H&H with some additional custom work by Gene Simillion for sale. A few years ago, I decided I wanted a more portable 375 than the rifle that I had, which weighed over 10 pounds loaded and scoped. I also wanted it to hold four in the magazine, comfortably, and feed exceptionally well.

I tracked down a like-new early Dakota 76 375 H&H in the standard configuration (without the heavy barrel and drop magazine), and sent it to Gene Simillion. Gene installed an Echols magazine and follower that allowed the rifle to hold four rounds, with plenty of room, and not require a drop box. He also lengthened the ejection port so that the rifle could be loaded more easily and eject loaded rounds with the longer spitzer bullets that I use in a 375.

When I received the rifle, I tested it with Barnes Vor-TX 300 grain TSX loads, as well as the Federal Premium 300 grain Swift and Woodleigh Hydro solids. They all shot under .750" with the Federal Swift load shooting close to .500". Definitely minute of buffalo.

The rifle itself weighs 7.75 pounds with the bases installed, which allows you to easily hit nine pounds scoped and loaded.

I have never hunted the rifle, so it remains in like-new condition. I am thinning out the herd, so to speak, and I have another similar 375 with a 300 H&H barrel that can be swapped onto the rifle, so I will keep that one.

It will be shipped in a hard to case to your FFL.

$7,500 shipped.

Thanks,

Chet

We 'll visit Livingstone / Vic Falls for 3 days and 2 nights. Back to Mapcha by car, back to WDH with Airlink (grab my rifles and belongings) and the same day back to Frankfurt.
What do you mind from your own experience ? and your wife .? Did she appreciate ?
We already hunted Namibia in 2022, May for PG near Outjo for 8 days. Great country.
Thank you for your advises.

Hello Cecil
I am Philippe from Center of France. I plan to hunt Zambezi with Zana Botes in 2026, Oct after a couple of days for PG in Namibia in his lodge. I will be with my wife. She is not really a huntress and we promised to go visit Vic Falls. I imagine to go to Caprivi by car , hunt there 7 days (for buff) and go by car to Vic falls (PH will bring back my rifle) . sorry I am required to write 2 messages
