CZ Not Producing any firearms over 300 Win Mag and Winchester has a 6 month wait. Approximate delivery time is late May, early June 2025

There are more “African safari magazine rifles” for sale on gunsinternational right now than ever before. Albeit they cost more than ever before too, but there are lots of rifles out there. Last year it seemed like there were really good prices being listed every week.

LOL at myself.....a month or so ago seems the "flavor of the month" was 458's and I considered purchasing another 458WM here off the forum. Later with a bit of regret at the time, that I didn't add a second rifle to my inventory.

That's what makes this forum so special. When a member requires a need for pretty much anything, members come through to assist their fellow member.

With all these magnificent rifles being offered I'm like a kid in a candy store trying to choose one, if not two of these rifles.

Few more pictures.

Many Thanks @Mtn_Infantry.

But I'm looking for a bolt action.

Besides I'm still kicking myself in the hind end every time I see or hear No 1, because I passed on a 458WM No1 at a gun show about 4 years ago at Really low give away price.

Since I usually put another $1,500 into a $1,000 to $1500 rifle, not including glass, I will probably just just conclude with my .375 Ruger.

Ruger in .416 Ruger seems plentiful right now. Might consider Park West Arms if you’re willing to spend a little more. They are in 458 Lott though.

I am not a fan of blaser r8 system. But the future of dg rifle, from blue collar up, will be on blaser r8.
The R8 comes in .500 Jeff, .458 Win & Lott, .416 Rem, .375 H&H, and a lot of plainsgame cartridges.
Everything you want.
And most of the africahunters that really hunt and not only just talk about, have enough money for even a R8.....

Correct.
But my approach was different, classic type rifle, one for each purpose. For Africa my choice ZKK 602 in 375.
However, in time, there will be less and less 2nd hand CRF rifles, and probably a constant presence of R8 on the market.
With rifle choice there is always a dilemma between to have and to be. For example, blaser R8 with one or two barrels, plus proper scope like swarovski or Leica, costs like one PG safari. Good one. Have rifle, loose one safari. Yes, or no? Individual choice.

So, if the prices remain in that level, there will always have to be a choice between this two options, for people on limited budget.

I’ve opted for three rifles.

One is finished. One is being finished. The third will be done in the future but can be hunted with now with the factory stock and no bedding job.

.338 Win Mag Winchester Model 70. Bedded in a McMillan stock with floated barrel, trigger job, etc, etc. It’s been my one rifle for everything for quite a while and my one and done for North America.

375 Ruger at the gunsmith getting worked on and put in a McMillan stock. It will be my one and done for African hunts.

6.5 Creedmoor will be put in a McMillan stock, bedded, and trigger worked on over time after the 375 Ruger is done. I’ll use this for coyotes up to deer when conditions warrant.

All these rifles are left hand controlled round feed. I’m unwilling to compromise on the left hand action and CRF. I put about $1,000 to $1,500 into each rifle, not including glass, to get them to shoot to the best of their ability and will replace the barrel if it needs it. So far two of the three hasn’t needed it.

You could find a used rifle and then have a gunsmith turn it into the gun you want. Just something to consider. I’ve had pretty good success with used firearms. Just food for thought.

Look for used rifles....Gunbroker, Guns America, craigslist, even pawn shops. I had your problem too, but went ahead, ordered it at my local Walmart and waited until it finally arrived.

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
