I promise you that you're not nearly as surprised as I am.
Two American Safari versions sold recently on GB for a good deal more +tax...neither anywhere near new condition, not glass-bedded, no fancy grade Turkish walnut stocks, no barrel band.
I'm absolutely mystified.
Going to leave it up for a few more more days...maybe I should raise the price to $3k...seems like the gents think the price is too good to be true?

Yeah, I’d give it another week at least. You never know when a motivated buyer might stumbled across it on this board.

The only other thing I can suggest would be adding one or two clear pics of the muzzle crown and the bore to show the condition of each.

A serious buyer looking for a ‘working’ rifle in this caliber would want to see those, just as if he were inspecting it in person.
