Classic Rifle stock magazine

Try a buttcuff. Holds 5 or 6 rounds and ammo is much more accessible and won't affect the balance much more than the stock mag.
I know these items being very popular with hunters...unfortunately I still prefer the classic magazine inserted in the butt stock..it really give a great appearance to a classic build rifle ..(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

No, no Gentleman, there is nothing wrong at all with what ever you choose to fit use on your rifle ...every person has his own ideas about these things..mine is just different , but we all hunt on the end of the day , using our rifles that we prefer with all the gadgets we like attached to our nice rifles... :A Banana::A Big Hello:

Good, members I managed to get hold of three sets /parts of a semi-finishes butt stock magazine..I will complete these magazines, I will fit onto the 8x68S butt stock ...the other two I will complete to sell to interesting members..(y)(y)

Hi Gert, I have such an item which I probably will never use. Contact me and I can supply pictures and we can discuss further. It has never been installed and still needs to be drilled for calibre of choice. Cheers

This is how Steyr did it on the Mannlicher Schoenauer M1900 through M1924 models:

The topmost hole held the cleaning rods, other two for 'oh shit' rounds.

Mauser offered a 'trapdoor' as well, from the 1939 Stoeger:

It does look good, has some Appeal I guess , something nice something different or something to make a custom unique.
It may be a good upgrade to Jazz up a Blaser R8,
