CAustin in Hospital

Guys thank you all so much for the prayers and concerns. I got rid of the hippo and spring buck curse while in South Africa, h7nt report will follow in a few days, but I will never get rid of the kidney stone curse. Grandfather had them, father, uncles and my mother all had them I got my first one a 19 year of age and have always been able the pass them. NOT THIS TIME.
I want to give a special shout out to my hunting buddies who looked after me once the attack started. @Shootist43 @TOBY458 and @Art Lambart II stayed with me and thank the lord Art senior had some strong pain medication to give me or that flight home would have been totally unbearable.
Also the Delta flight 201 Purser named Deborah was amazing. About two hours into the flight she found me a doctor on board who just happened to be a Urologist. He was able to augment the meds that Art had with some from other passsangers which made the flight bearable for me. One surgery this morning then another procedure Thursday and I should be good as new.
All I can say is thank goodness they put you to sleep for this stuff.

We'll wishes, get better soon bud!

Thanks for sharing this Art and great meeting you in KC!... And it's good to hear from you Charlie and glad to see that you're on the mend (and that your time in the firearm clearing station wasn't as long as my encounter right after you lol)! Good thing there was a urologist on board because I was getting out of my seat to go assist when the flight attendant told me there were two other doctors already helping you out- and that is VERY fortunate since I'm an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon- doubt I could have helped you out!!

talk about good timing, thankfully it didn't happen at the start of your hunt!

Good to hear! (y) Stay away from iced tea! :)

WOW what a welcome back. I've had 2 bouts with kidney stones and they can be brutal. Sorry to hear it required surgery. Hope recovery goes well. So glad to hear that it didn't happen at the first of your hunt. Looking forward to the hunt report. Always makes me feel good to hear about others stepping up to help out in a time of need.

I would have let you saw my head off at the neck if it would have stopped that pain! Thanks for being willing to help Doc!

I think Charlie might have preferred your assistance over that of the proctologist with the really big hands...

Just sayin...

Charlie hate to hear that. Glad your home and take care of yourself.

Glad you're feeling better Charlie! I know it had to be an aweful trip home, but I'm so thankful that it didn't happen during the hunt!

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
