Canada's boy king Bans Firearms - List of 1500

So, the indigenous hunters will be allowed to use indirect fire missions in their hunting????

joules = foot lbs???

What many people won't understand is that Trudeau was elected with 36% of the popular vote. That's right folks. 64% of Canadians wanted anyone but him, and he's who we have. And has the gall to say he has a "strong mandate." This is what passes for democracy in Canada.
It's a setup. The minority Liberals have lost control of the House, they are looking bad on COVID, they look bad because they are so connected to the CCP. They look.bad because they spent all the reserves we need now. They needed a wedge issue to drive votes in the large urban centers. So, they are baiting the Right. I think Conservatives should play it cool, and pick their messaging. Keep the focus where it should be and wait to get voted in.

Indigenous hunters will be excluded from Canada’s sweeping ban on 1,500 assault weapons announced Friday.

“There will be an exception for Indigenous people’s exercising a section 35 hunting right, as well as those who use the weapon for hunting to feed themselves or their family,” said Justice Minister David Lametti."
The original text also excluded Quebec, but that even looked suspicious to the Liberals :sneaky::LOL:

Its a political BS. He knows it will be challenged and repealed. But then he can wave his hands and say I tried, but the democratic loving folks wont let me protect you from your selves . What do you expect from a drama teacher...theater. He is a dangerous con artist with delusional ideas of a monarchy.

Pat.
It can’t be challenged, at least not with any chance of success. The legislation gives him the power and the order in council is valid on its face. The only way to change it is to pass new legislation, and do you really think that (a) the Greens, the NDP and the Bloc would oppose this - In fact, they support it; and (b) once this is the law, that the Conservatives, if they ever get a majority government, would pass a law allowing Canadians to have these weapons? Not a chance. Once gone, they are gone for good.

Pheroze, I wish you were right, but Trudeau’s poll numbers are better than they have been in years. Six weeks of nothing but announcing more money for people buys you a ton of votes apparently. If he called an election today, he’d probably win a majority.

As for the Conservatives? Play it cool? They don’t even have a leader. What a mess.

I have tried to find out the questions and demographics of those polls, because they conflict with everything else I am seeing. Time will tell I guess. But, why would they take such a drastic approach to the issue if their polling so high? They need a wedge issue and they know it. I am waiting to see how the Bloc deal with it as I think firearms ownership in Quebec is quite high. Could give the Conservatives an edge in Quebec if the Bloc isn't careful.

Maybe I missed it what type of firearm did the Canadian shooter use, just curious?

I’m sorry for those in Nova Scotia, but are they going to ban propane? Pressure cookers? Trucks? Autos? Fertilizer? Ammonia? Baking soda? Bleach? Alcohol? CO2? Halon? Knives???
Maybe the best idea is to come up with a virus that kills everyone under 50? It seams like they are most of the nut cases? Those older seem hungry for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Oh, unless they are politicians!

Since most murders are done by knives I suggest knife safes and registration of all sharp knives.

This is really ridicolous but anyway show me Lib politicians with any logic.
We are now on level 4 lockdown it was announced that tobacco sales will commense again a day before level 4 suddenly minister announced no sales of tobacco product a day before the start of level 4.
Illegal tobacco sales are going through the roof goverment is loosing tons of taxes on sales and smokers are loosing their heads at home. This is forcing smokers to obatin tobacco illegally.

Hardware stores opened up again but I can't start work on any of my paint contracts this is now week 6 no productivity but I will be held accountable if I do retrench my workers.

Anyway I'm not a smoker so the tobacco sales dont affect me but that one person can just pass stupid laws or regulations without proper consulation of all involved is not democratic.

I hope Canada's pro gun lobby hits them hard and loud.

Applicable to many threads on here....

The frog is in the pot and the heat has just been turned up a little more. The cycle to tyranny increases everyday and in mostly the newly formed socialist republics like Australia, the U.S. and now Canada. Old farts and students of history recognize it. Unfortunately the ignorant and self centered young don't. Eventually the frog is too cooked to jump out and the cycle is complete.

Why on earth would you want facts!?

“On Friday, Public Safety Minister Bill Blair declined to identify the weapons, saying that should be left to the RCMP.”

Media speculation suggests some of the guns are on the new banned list.

He had a handgun, how is that possible? I though they were illegal in Canada. Every time, I cross I get questioned about handguns after I tell them, I am from Texas.

We can own them after jumping through enough hoops , we cannot carry them. We can transport them with permission to and from our local range if they have atleast two locks on one onthe weapon and one on the container it is stored in. Shells must be locked separately. Also if you say stopped for gas or deviated from the route in any way you've now committed a crime.
