For anyone interested I have sent Marius my deposit and he has been excellent to work with! Very responsive and has provided answers to all my questions! I am hunting with him in the middle of Oct and will provide a fully report at the end.

Hunting bears in Romania with Marius is a welcome option for avoiding the Russian experience….

I've hunted with Marius twice (roe/boar/stag) and I'm booked next spring for another Roebuck trip. He is a terrific guy/guide and hunts in some beautiful areas.

• Red stag - end of September
• wild boar all the time

Personally I find brown bears to be scarier than lions. Maybe it's because I don't live in a place where they are.
