BOTSWANA: NKWE SAFARIS Hunt Report

You paid your taxes with that tale.
Congratulations on a successful hunt and adventure.

Congratulations on a great hunt, you really earned that eland. NKWE has some great animals to hunt and a super camp

The tales of you tracking eland has me beyond excited! Nothing more satisfying then the miles and work sometimes it takes… Wonderful write up

Congratulations on your safari. I have anxiously been waiting to see/read a hunting report from you. My good friend (MontanaPat) and I had a great safari with Jaco in May of this year. My hunting partner, MontanaPat, shot a beautiful kudu and massive eland (along with other animals) and has posted his report on this forum. I still need to post a hunting report. Again, congratulations. So happy you experience an african safari "The Botswana Way" with NKWE Safaris.
Thanks, Kevin. NKWE had lots Big Eland and Kudu, as you had mentioned. I did post a picture of the horns in the salt room, impressive collection from the season. The "Botswana Way" is very much my style of hunting and is very rewarding. I will return to visit the new camp plus their fish camp.

Yes, the Eland and tracking him hard for days, the right way was by far the most satisfying hunt of lifetime, I’ll never forget the experience. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Great report! I really do want to hunt with Jaco in the next couple of years, all the reports sound incredible.

That Kudu man!!!!!!

That Kudu was 59” and change, 1/2” or something, I forgot to write it down. The other side was 58” and change. I liked it due to the deep and unique curls.

Great report! It sounds like your trip couldn’t have been much better!

Congratulations for your great trip and nice writeup. I had my first Africa hunt with NKWE in 2023 and all was exceptional. Jaco is a great PH and Godfrey a godsend with his culinary skills. I also hunted there with Quinton who was also a very capable PH. I wonder if he is no longer with NKWE. Trackers, housekeepers, and all staff were top notch.

Nicely done and thanks for sharing!

Excellent and congrats on a great trip! NKWE, and eland, is on my short list for my next safari partly based on the excellent reports here on the forum.

Thanks for taking the time for a great write up. I drive by a bunch of Stallion tanks staged up everyday.

I like your style. Great first safari and report. The Kudu tales that routinely arrive from NKWE clients are a hell of an advertisement.

Congratulations on all your success!

Thank you. Yes Sir, that’s what got me sold on NKWE, as well. I haven’t mentioned yet, but the client who arrived the last 4 days of my safari shot a MONSTER Eland on his first day, not sure the measurements but it was rough scored SCI Gold # 7 or 8 all time for rifle. (I liked mine better, lol)

You have any photos of that eland?

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
