Bob Nelson convinced me - 35 Whelen

Bob's different all right.
No, no do oh catcher no more.
I'm done, Resigned from that

bob,
it looks like both you and chris really need to get out in the bush and hunt some pigs/other.
bruce.
@bruce moulds
I'm on my feet now so in a month I should be able to get to the range at least.
Have you got y our heels and rifle for the photo shoot.
Bob
I hear Sprinter arms are still in existence somewhere in SA , No, that's South Australia for you Africa nuts.
Our Croweater freinds have a few good gunsmiths.

Cousin Bruce, I resigned today, when Uncle Bob is back on his feet we might do a road trip if he makes it for the next Broken Heel Festival, Funny thing is I think he has a Broken Heel, the mind boggles.

Yes, it's true. I was in at the Palace on the slopes one night. I know Bob reminisces about the old Broken Heel.

I've said before I worked there back in the day. For those who are familiar with .243 & the Priscilla movie I worked for Mario Celotto the Mario who was seen welcoming the "Ladies" in the movie.

I was there a year or so before. , I digress. Bob has find memories of the place.

I am a bit nostalgic. I had a few on a night out with the wife. I immediately thought of Bob, I was gonna stir shit online but I had to pay attention to the wife as we were at the same table.

I couldn't find his photos on the wall but, I know he's been there.

He thinks I sent that stuff to stir shit but I think I only got it for him cause I knew he would miss the Broken Heel Festival with his Broken Heel.

Bob, have a beer and don't take it do seriously, it's ok to be different
@CBH
I just hope others appreciate our warped sense of Australian humour. Yes I have been to Mario's and seen the art work and been told th e stories about them.
I understand why you resigned , it hard to soar with eagles when you work with turkeys.
It would be my sincere pleasure to do a road trip with you and @bruce moulds. The sessions around the campfire would be very interesting to say the least.
My heel wasn't broken, just severely bent. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Bob

i'm not but the other two are.
bruce.
@bruce moulds
I finally broke out of cabin yesterday and went for a short walk. Just have to work up to the range yet. One good thing I can play on it a bit and get my son or mate to hang my targets as I can see my foot still being a bit sore. Ha ha
Well I can try.
Bob

We could meet for a Latte at the Palace,

Not one of could rock a Man Bun and I don't do Heels or Creedmoor.

That’s how it start he converts one before you know it the whole forums a cult dedicated to the mighty 35 with bob our prophet who’s the chosen one. He’ll show us all the light lite by col. whelen and teach us to cast out those evil doers among us that spout blasphemy and carry .243s
Walk towards the bright light, bring an empty cup and @Bob Nelson 35Whelen will fill it for you on the way to the Colonel’s promise land. ;) I’ve only emailed Bob about a hunt reference and we didn’t talk about the 35, but his handle has me researching late at night about this magical cartridge. I have to go now, I hear an Australian accent voice coming from the bright light. It’s calling me. ;)

Bring Townsend Nelson an empty cup and he’ll fil it for you with Bundy! Probably several times over. Then when your inebriated enough, he’ll convince you to buy a .35 Whelen.

My Ruger Hawkeye in .35 Whelen will arrive at my FFL tomorrow. Proud to say I do not, and never have, owned a .243
Oh, you will make friends quickly here then.
Probably a good pairing the Hawkeye and the .35Whelen, well from my perspective as I could see that being a nice pairing in scrub.

I think that's why the Rem 7600 can be had in a Whelen, a Sambar gun for pump Action shooters.

I have one Sportsman 78 in the safe. Not ready to tinker yet but should start thinking of what it shall become.

@CBH
Chris a man who owns a Whelen and has the good sense to have NEVER owned a 243 has my utmost respect.
I can't figure a pump gun in Whelen when you should only need one shot with a Whelen if you do your part. If'n you can't do it either learn to shoot or use a different r rifle.
Bob
