Blaser R8 RMR and Mount

20 bore has a rim diameter of .776" and a base diameter of .667" making 12K psi.

10.3x60 has a rim diameter of .618" and base diameter of .545" making 39K psi.

Opening up the base by .122 and lowering the pressure by 27K psi seems reasonable. But then again, when can you expect a German company to be reasonable. Besides, I still think it would be a single shot and there is very little market for it, so that's a NO....with the exception of a full on custom jobbie. BTW - How many shots do you usually need for a turkey? Mostly one shot kills from what I've seen. :A Stirring:

Might as well just buy an H&R for $150. Lol!

My son and I handled the Blaser Bockdrilling at SCI. For $12k it was a fantastic firearm. 20 gauge, .308 and a .22 magnum. I’d be more tempted by that rifle than by a R8 shotgun.

But… the chance I would buy an R8 shotgun barrel is near 100%.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
