Blaser R8 Professional Special Buy! Complete Rifle!

@Hunting Hitman - Every Blaser receiver (steel or aluminum) is capable of shooting calibers from 17HMR to 500J as long as the barrel channel is able to accommodate the barrel profile.

Barrel profiles are 17mm (standard), 19mm (semi-weight) and 22mm (safari & Selous). The 500J only comes from Blaser in 22mm profile.

The safari stock comes with a steel receiver and I also believe a kickstop. At least that’s what mine came with in 2019. The kickstop is in the butt of the stock and can be had in a couple different weights. The one I had was 16 oz but I’ve seen 12 oz ones as well.

The steel receiver is typically added for weight considerations because of the larger cartridges having more recoil. Another reason is the 22mm barrel can make the rifle barrel heavy and the addition of the steel receiver adds some balance back between the hands.

I found that the kickstop and steel receiver to make for a rifle that was very well balanced but too heavy for my liking. I sold the rig in favor of a lightweight 375H&H that’s still easy shooting for me.

Thanks BeeMaa,
I am well aware of the Blaser configurations as I own 4 of them. My response to the original post was that I would take the package at $4500 if offered in the 500 jeff caliber as i have always wanted to mess around with it and compare it to my 505 Gibbs. The seller informed me of the new price of $6500 which is a decent price but I can just by the barrel/bolt head/mag insert for about $3500 if I really want to go down that rabbit hole.
Appreciate your input and knowledge as always.

$6500 for a complete rifle with steel receiver and selous barrel is an absolute steal.

It states in bold $4500

Don’t use the app. Google the site and connect…it’s never been a problem. It looks just like your computer screen would.

Or use the app if you want. Your choice.

U can also use your bike instead of your car
They both work

The app should work…simple

That explains it. I use the app almost exclusively. The price definitely does not show.

Is Ari still with Europtic?

Ari is still here!
He's moved out of customer service and leads our returns department
Hey Jake,
I responded to your offer on December 7th. Please get back to me.

Did you respond to sales@eurooptic.com? Or my personal email? I have not seen anything since our last conversation.
I will go through the deleted emails in the sales box to see if it was deleted in error by one of my coworkers.

I’ve been trying to reach you guys all day. Maybe there is some sort of outage. Sent you a PM.

Hey HH
Just sent you the quote, As I stated above -
"I can swap to most any standard contour barrel without a barrel band sling swivel and keep the price the same, Going to a big bore proper African cartridge typically means I need to swap the stock to the Safari, which entails a price increase of around 1500 / 2000 USD."
The rifle I built out on your quote is still a great deal when compared to normal pricing, But it is not the $4500 dollar rifle
I’m glad you’re making that distinction on here. It’s very important for a new customer to know the difference. I found out the hard (expensive) way that if you want to go with a big bore Selous/thick barrel, your standard barrel (thinner) stock receiver won’t work. Beautiful setup now… .375 Selous and .300 WM heavy barrels, along with a steel receiver and wider safari barrel channel. Just an expensive journey getting there. Eurooptic salesman on the phone for the original sale was not knowledgeable/helpful. My fault ultimately, I guess.

Do you still have the receipt from your original order? I would appreciate the opportunity to take a look and possibly make your idea of my company sweeter. Please PM me your order number if you have it.

Is that price for 375 H&H?
We can do the same $4500 price for the standard contour barrel, with or without sights.
I believe I have all required components in stock at the moment as well, So you could have the rifle as early as Thursday.

-Jake

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John buzzardhilllabs@hotmail.com

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
