As I said I bought a Brno 270 Winchester.

You will be happy with the .270 Win. Moderate recoil and ammo is cheaper, both factory and hand load, than the 7mm rem mag as well as being very similar ballistically.

I think the 270 Winchester would be hard to beat for your intended purposes.
