Big Bore Addiction Group

when i was at pauls the other day i was going through my rifles he has in storage and here is one i had forgotten about :E Doh::E Embarrassed:
its a brockman conversion on a marlin 45-70. it has a 16 inch barrel rear peep sights and the front blade has protective wings, and it has a sliding trap door on the bottom of the stock that holds 4 extra rounds in individual slots.

this was the first time i had seen this rifle as the one i looked at at sci had been sold . the balance with the 20 inch barrel is great and it comes up perfectly. paul has tried it and it shoots a bit low and left so he is going to put a slightly higher back sight on it and it should be fine. both he and one of the people that work for him said it boots the least of any .500 jeff they have shot, still noticeable though :D .the trigger pull is very nice and it hasnt been touched , and it feeds fine with kynoch ammo but i want it regulated with norma so hopefully it will feed fine with that as well.

Obviously Mike is one of very few of us who "may" be getting close to having enough guns!

Great looking rifles,,makes me wonder how anybody could go for a piece of plastic

My dear god that rigby has some sexy wood....
Too bad they are all made for those strange RH people (n)

all the serial numbers paul had as a runout deal when he sold rigbys years ago are all taken i think, but he can build you exactly the same rifle and in left hand drive ;) but it would be a Roberts after his company now.

I blame pictures like these for me being broke! outstanding rifles, thanks for sharing.

Don't tell me stuff like that.
Makes for very expensive thoughts...

I had literally never heard of Brockman until I found the .458 Lott I now own. Those levers guns are his speciality though it seems. Sure looks like that one could be a lot of fun, if I guy remembered he had one that is!!!, :A Stars:

Now that is truly the definition of a safe queen. Kept in storage in the UK and forgotten about!!!!! :A Worshipl:

it would be illegal in Australia (18.5 inch barrel ,min) but that marlin would get a work out ,as a scrub gun

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

X5i scope is perfect - thanks for an easy transaction! Buy with confidence.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
