I had a Win M70 375H&H re-barelled to 404 Jeffery. All they had to do to the bolt face was make a couple of extractor cuts. Everything else was pretty straight forward. The donor rifle I used was a 375 H&H stainless M70. It had a slightly heavier barrel contour therefore very little work was required to make it fit. The barrel channel may have to be opened up a bit more if it has a standard factory barrel on yours than on the one I had done. I guess it would depend on what barrel contour your donor rifle is vs what you have install. Good luck with the project. I'm having a lot of fun shooting mine.It is my understanding that there is more work required to go from 375 to 404 as the bolt face has to be enlarged. With the 300 RUM to 404 the bolt is fine as-is, and the feed ramps should be fine as well, along with the magazine set up to hold the same size cartridge...just a new barrel is needed. Correct me if I'm wrong.
