Best Taxidermy for leopards in Houston and Dallas Area?

One of Meng’s recent cats

Please continue posting. There aren't enough photos of great cat taxidermy on AH. I keep looking for ideas on this subject. Cat poses are really difficult for me to decide on. Several I like a lot and many I don't like at all.

I would suggest contacting @gizmo he did my leopard and there is a complete thread on my cat in the Taxidermy area.

For those who feel their leopard turned out good with whoever, please post photos here too. Very integral to the topic.

Some of these I've saved more for the poses and habitat than the workmanship. I am not a taxidermist, but merely a lover of fine taxidermy. I've oftentimes had taxidermists ask as I'm critiquing their work, "Have you ever mounted a leopard?", and my response is always the same. I tell them, "No, I've never taken a rib from a man and formed a woman either, but I can damn sure distinguish between a pretty one and an ugly one".

Mount by Ben Fahnholz as posted by @Bullet Safaris. I love the aggressive ears and closed mouth.

Phil Soucy seems to just be the best imo

I like that top photo...serious cat....good habitats on several of these...love @Hunting Hitman's results with his cat. I would like to think about something like that coming down a rock base in a corner of a room. Soucy is definitely on my short list. I do need his contact info.

My leopard from Namibia at B&B Taxidermy awaiting me picking him up.

As others have talked about I think cats are probably the hardest thing for taxidermists to get right. For anyone in the northeast I’d suggest looking at Bob Vitro he does good work all around but I think his cats are particularly good

I have visited Gizmo’s shop and was impressed with his leopard work as well as the photos of the leopard he mounted with Daniel Ming. My Namibian leopard was mounted by Kanati and I have posted it here on AH. Again very impressed with the work from Kanati as well.

I had my leopard mounted by Ben at Tri-state Taxidermy in Houston. He used it for display in his booth at DSC a year ago. He said it got the biggest response of any taxidermy he has had in his booth so far. I'm pleased with how it came out. I'll post a better picture soon, this was at the booth(edit)
(edit) I already responded to this thread - sorry for the duplication.

I left mine in Zimbabwe to have it mounted. Pretty simple . After I shot the cat we dropped it off at Colletts Wildlife Artistry in Bulawayo on the way home . Got to look at his work, only the owner does the leopards. Looked good it’s actually getting shipped this coming week, then customs etc.

I also just received my mountain lion from big cat taxidermy. Took them a while but do amazing work. They had a shipper drop it off at my house here in Rockwall, Texas

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!
