With all your free time you should help make Victoria a better place, not sure admiring neo Nazi's is the way to do that... but hey when in Victoria do as the victorian's do. Idolizing neo Nazi's, it's no longer victorian's secret

you dont honestly think l idolise Diktater Dan do you TT LOL

In 90 day blocks, Diktater Dan will have unlimited powers if this passes:

“Dan Andrews could be given unprecedented power to shut down Victoria at will during a pandemic under sweeping proposed laws. Revised State of Emergency legislation would strip out independent health advice from the decision-making process during pandemics. And instead, the new laws would hand all control over to politicians without the need for doctors to sign off the public health orders.”

Part of our confusion with respect to Australia here in the States - particularly in those states with some remaining focus on personal liberty - is our misunderstanding of OZ. We tend to believe in the Australian myth. In that model, an Australian is an independent adventurer representing the best of Crocodile Dundee and Steve Irvin, or perhaps a young man from Snowy River. We think of the tough troops and hard individualists who stood and died in Gallipoli and fought the Japanese to a standstill on the Kokoda Track in the Owen Stanley Range.

But the real Australian population is actually 86.2% urbanized. That is five points higher than the US and roughly equivalent to California and our Northeast Corridor. We shouldn't be surprised that the reaction of such a population is very similar to the large urban centers in our own country - obey mandates without question, anyone who disagrees is a nazi or murderer or worse, and fully support stilling the voices of anyone who dares question or protest. Those very attitudes have played out on this thread and a couple of Covid specific ones elsewhere on the site.

My problem with unquestioning obedience, and condemnation of anyone who questions such directives, is the enduring behavioral discretion conveyed to those in power. The mechanisms of dictatorial power, now well greased, can only become easier to exercise in the future. Again, scattered throughout this commentary are expressions of "hope" about what the government will "allow" by a given date. And we have members here seemingly all on board with the surrender of such individual liberty until and if such a date arrives. As a citizen of a sister republic, that is somewhat frightening.

I am not a medical professional, but suspect I am as well read on the subject as most. My amateur assessment is that Australia and NZ have both been far too efficient at preventing exposure to Covid (an assessment voiced by a number of actual immunologists - forbidden from much of social media). Thanks to Delta, most of Europe and the United States seem to be approaching true herd immunity based upon exposure, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated. But Covid hasn't gone anywhere. How do you ever truly reopen your borders and resume normality until the virus does run its course? Do you continue your police state until that day certain?

This summarizes my thoughts of Australia and actually Canada as well up until the last two or three years. Boy have my eyes have been opened as to the true nature of the situation as well I think as some of their own citizens. Hell, I never would have thought that Biden would get the most votes of any U.S. president in history either.

I agree, the willingness of our first world friends to bend to the almighty masters to such a degree as they have is frightening. Over 1.5 years and still allowing themselves to be forced to wear masks outside and not being able to travel more than a few K from their homes, being put into state run "quarantine", etc. leaves me at a loss for words. I have heard that as a whole Australian's embrace gov't and their decisions and I have no reason to believe that isn't true. Now if you don't have such a mindset don't get all perturbed at me because I know not all think this way.

Now in no way am I saying that things here in the U.S. have been peachy, far from it, but as soon as all this started alot of us started pushing back and for this I can truly say I am proud. That said, I am also saddened that so many simply succumbed to the gov't without question. Business owners simply allowing gov't to tell them they can't do business is truly remarkable. The few brave souls that didn't take it lying down weren't backed up by their fellow business owners in a "they can't arrest us all" type of attitude. They had a chance, but now many are filing bankruptcy or picking up the pieces of what was their livelihood while working side jobs.

I also have to wonder if part of Australia's desperation to get people vaccinated is because they know that such a prolonged lock down will have large ramifications. Lack of exposure to the world's other simple shared diseases has been of concern for a while.

I am surprised, shocked, saddened and angry that a whole countries (USA, OZ, and others) would turn belly up and meekly succumb to such irrational tyranny. Granted, there are some who are resisting but the number is so low as to be meaningless. This dictatorial madness has gone on way too long and I don't forsee an end in the near future. As long as the commucrats in both nations can get away with it they will continue and keep inventing some new assininity to trample peoples rights and freedom.

I don’t know anything about avi and looked him up because the “Jewish nazi” thing was bizarre.

It almost looks like the comment was not about him being a Nazi but ignoring the labels the left try to use against right wingers like himself.

“No matter what the left call us, I am the world’s proudest Jewish Nazi.”

While it’s not the phrasing I would choose, it’s sounds like he means that the left can call him a Nazi if they choose but he won’t change his politics just because of that. By saying “Jewish Nazi” it seems like irony. The left hates the right so much that they will even call conservative Jews, Nazis.

I don’t defend his politics or his past because I don’t know him but accusing him of being a neo nazi seems like an overstatement. Especially since he’s a Zionist and former IDF member.

Furthermore he seems to have had an interview with a comedian of which he stated, “Now I agreed with two conditions: one, there will be no Neo-Nazis or Nazi sympathisers on the same segment, because I don’t want to be aligned to them and I don’t want to give them any legitimacy or anything like that. Common sense. The second one was that they don’t cut my answers from one question and put it to another.”

The left seems to go out of their way to paint this Jewish man as a Nazi as they did exactly that, edited the interview to violate his two conditions, which he was able to prove with his own footage of the interview.

Maybe so, definitely not an ideal situation. I think the American view of Australia reciprocates the Australian view of America, cherry picked by news, tv shows and social media. We also have essentially a two party political system, one union thug's, the other headed by a prime minister who speaks in tongues on Sundays, both of them anti gun/anti hunting and increasingly anti farming.hardly in touch with the average everyday Australian. Having a Victorian delivering questionable "news" from youtube and facebook from a Indi news reporter who confesses to be a neo Nazi and portraying to the internet that Australia is on the brink of a revolution is hardly helping anyone but his own ego and feeling of belonging to a group of noisy malcontents who couldn't survive without wifi let alone during the forecast apocalypse.

They where his word's, not mine. Check the rest of his history? Not exactly a person to be looked up.

His words which you stated without context and without quoting fully. The full quote makes his point clear and his background as an Israeli, Zionist, Jew makes the accusation nonsensical no matter how poorly he phrased himself.

I don’t know him and have no desire to defend or look up to him but calling someone you don’t agree with a Nazi is lazy.

Calling someone who calls themselves a Nazi is repeating them. If I called him a wife beater because he pled guilty to it in court, is that lazy too? This is the guy that people who don't live in Australia are getting their information from, not doing actual non biased research for yourself is lazy.

I agree that anybody turning yellow at the whims of a gov't is ridiculous but I think that the number of people, at least here in America, "resisting" as you say is anything but meaningless and may be getting stronger by the day. Or maybe I'm just being unrealistically optimistic.

We can hope. This is America and we will overcome this insanity, as we always have in the past. The near future may look bleak but history has proven that no one and nothing can keep America down for long.

Repeating him without repeating him in full is intellectually dishonest. I can’t help but notice that after your first comment on him you dropped “jewish” and just started calling him a nazi or neo nazi. Maybe on some level you realized how preposterous calling someone a “jewish nazi” is regardless of their quoted gaffe? Of course I’m willing to acknowledge that it was a stupid thing for him to say whatever his meaning was, but just as stupid would be taking it on face value.

You also seem to be under the impression that I want to defend his character. Again I do not. He may very well be a total asshole as you claim. On the other hand beating his wife had nothing to do with you calling him a Nazi. Which, again, is absolutely absurd regardless of what he said, especially when you include the entire sentence.

It seems as though you have plenty of material for rebutting him without resorting to childishly calling an Israeli Jew a Nazi.

pretty sure Geoff that any Victorian firearms owner knows full well now that Diktater Dan has bought in a new bill changing laws that can have firearms licences and firearms taken for 10 yrs for minor infringements as well as being able to search the person, their vehicle or home without cause or reason, not even a suspicion of anything, just because they want to
l agree firearms owners need to keep their heads down or loose the firearm privileges we have
but we are in this position because we have and we know better
we do not live in a democracy anymore

then we have the new legislation Dan is trying to push that l have posted up about giving him a lot more power that he should have
straight from the CCP handbook

TT you are just Trolling mate, grow up, you have taken Avi out of context and you know it
he is Jewish FFS, you do not know him, you show you have nothing to say
if you have anything worth contributing go ahead but stop Trolling
play the ball not the man,
you are looking like a far left wing radical

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
