Ended up buying a .458 and .460 and need to make room. I purchased this one with the intent to keep as a collector but have since had a change of plans. Would be willing to sell with or without the scope.

Looking for $5,000 shipped & insured. Will ship FFL to FFL.

Ramped blade front sight and three leaf (one standing two folding) rear sight along with standard Belgian proofs on the barrel and action. The ejector box, bolt, and follower have all been jeweled. Multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with contrasting forend tip, blued steel grip cap, blank inscription oval, and Pachmayr brown rubber recoil pad. Leupold FX-II 6x36mm in a Griffin & Howe mount. Excellent condition with very little signs of use.

This is still not sold???? If I'd live in the US, I would pick this up in a heartbeat!

I ask this question before pertaining to another rifle that had a Griffin and Howe side mount and don't remember what I was told. What would be involved for a smith to remove the G&H side mount and drill the receiver for scope rings?

Large holes in the side of the receiver(unsightly). Had a 1939 mod 70 with a GH side mount, contacted them and they offered to do work but wanted to keep the old mount..

That is a shame. since that is a true gorgeous rifle and of such a high quality Belgian brand. Thanks.

Yes that’s true but why change it the GH side mount is a Classic and rugged as H. The reason I wanted the Mod 70 changed it had a Lyman 3/4 in tube and small fov.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
