Anyone mount a rmr on there scope

I would not shoot an animal in the dark. Nor would I shoot one over bait. If I was worried about shooting a bear after dark, I would simply remove the scope and/or bring a can of bear spray. They're always around but I've never had a problem. But I don't bother them while they're eating jelly donuts. That might make me cranky too.
Im not sure if you realize it or if you care but your abrasive nature and negativity are very off putting. Im not sure you’ve made one positive comment in the entire time I’ve noticed you posting except to humble brag about your own alleged abilities.

All of the other gentlemen who offered an opinion did so from a position of knowledge about the subject we were discussing. They offered opinions and suggestions constructively where as you simply dismissed an idea out of hand while at the same time paying yourself a backhanded compliment on your own abilities. If you have nothing constructive to add to the conversation do the rest of us a courtesy and add nothing.

There's not much tube available on your scope either. The only mount I've seen that might work with your setup replaces the top of the ring with one that has a piece of pic rail. Have you looked at putting QD rings on the scope and an RMR on a QD base? For what you've described, walking in with the RMR mounted then swapping to the scope once on the stand or in the blind would eliminate the issue of a very high mounted RMR.

I’m considering that I’ve got a tikka t1x 22 set up with the same scope as a “trainer” for my 300wm. It’s got a set of talley rings that would switch easily with the mdt rings I’ve got on the win mag.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
