AH Get Together In Dallas During Dallas Safari Club (DSC) Convention 2016

Glad to hear that everyone had fun, what a great evening! Thanks for the pictures Buff-Buster, much appreciated.

We had a really great time at the dinner. Got to meet a few more folks than last year and see again the familiar faces. Richard from Mashambanzou Safaris joined us at our table for dinner. Super nice guy. He shared a lot of interesting info and stories about hunting in Mozambique, and some interesting photos that you won't see just anywhere! We stopped by the booth on Sunday, but no one was there? Must have been on a restroom break. Had a good time visiting with Jacques, Phil and Ruan again at the Hartzview booth. Can't wait to get over to RSA for our hunt with them.

Sorry about the booth being empty when you went by! I left at 11:00 to get checked out of the hotel. I'm sure Richard just stepped away for a moment. If you have any questions or need any info, don't hesitate to contact me! I'll be glad to help out.

Thanks for being the official photographer.(y)
Yeah! :E Excited: Waiting to see the compromising shots to come out middle of the year… :E Happy:

Myself, @tarbe, @Wheels, and @ActionBob were the last ones to leave.

And I'm embarrassed to say what time it was, because of the early hour. Y'all will do a much better job in Vegas I'm sure!!!!

Just an idea but I think since many of us probably share the same feelings next time we do this it might be fun to just get everyone to introduce themselves, where they are from etc between the 2nd Drink and the taking of dinner orders.

It's just not possible to make your way through such a crowd shaking hands and introducing yourself to everyone.

I was always so busy guiding this time of year for a couple of decades this was the first time I'd been to DSC in over 20 years and I must say I was incredibly impressed by how many of us from our crowd here made it to the dinner, I thought we were only looking at a crowd of about 25-30 looking at the sign up page!

The entire weekend was great and the most fun I've ever had in Dallas!
I thought it was a great event. I was there two years ago and met several of you, and met more last night. I couldn't around to meeting everyone, but if we keep doing these eventually I will. What a great bunch of folks we have on our site, all dedicated to furthering our mutual addiction! Let's keep these events going!

After this one I think he's probably going to need a new camera.

After spending a few hours with them I am sure you'll have a great time.

Ditto all. Great group of people, and had the conversation not turned to politics, I would likely have had more time to have met more of our group. Great evening. All the very best to all in this new year.

Politics?

OMG...good thing I was not there! I would have been "evicted"! :A Blowup:

I wish I could say the same thing about the bar at the Omni. At least I didn't go to Red River with a few "un-named PH's...lol Then again...maybe if I would have with my camera, I could have been trading pictures for trophy fees!!!!!!

Is that how Buff Buster finagled that free hunt out of James Jeffrey.
Sworn to secretcy as part of the deal...lol

Got 7 hours of sleep myself! ;) Would've been more but then I ran into James back in the lobby..... he mentioned nothing to me about a free hunt....that's crap I think.

Great night at the dinner, it was great to catch up with everyone again, but yes I think we need more room and a bit more time to mingle around.

I bet James learned in Kindergarden (just like me) that if you don't have enought to share with everyone, you have to keep it quiet.

Looks like you guys had a great time wish I could have been there, but we will try to see you again next year.

Yup, we missed you Bob. Hope next year is smoother sailing.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
