AH legend
'Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies.'
I have read that quote is attributed to Nelson Mandela. Regardless, there is wisdom in those words.
"You must know when to draw your saber and you must know when to throw away the scabbard."
I have always been told that a math teacher at Virginia Military Institute by the name of Thomas Jackson made that statement to his students in 1860.
I am a high school biology teacher in Texas. I use this forum a great deal in my classes. It has provided great pictures of wildlife. It has provide great information on the status of animals across the world and especially in Africa. It has provided balance to many of the nature videos that we show in class. It has caused many of my students to think differently.
This forum is in the fight. The saber is drawn and the scabberd is thrown away but we must not resent our foes because we must live with them and we must live with ourselves.
Keep laughing. Keep telling of the adventure. Keep helping each other. Keep talking of the mystery of Africa. People will want to listen. People will want to experience it.
