Tony, first I would like to say that yes some of your posts were deleted because you jumped on someone else's thread and made statements that did not belong there. You were informed of this and you were asked to instead start your own thread.
I have never offered any protections to any of the sponsors here from members who have negative reports. I also have an open door policy for anyone who has a issue with any sponsor. So it's surprising to hear just now about all of these issues. You have never contacted me, you have never mentioned any lawsuits, nor money being "stolen" from you. If indeed any of these statements are true, please share, please share for my sake as well as for the community. As far as I am concerned this post is just a rant and has no foundation.
I really don't like it if someone has a complaint and they just make blanket statements without backing anything up. Inflammatory words and accusations go nowhere! If you want to make your case do it properly, tell the story, make the report, let those who are in question respond if they so choose and let everyone decide for themselves. Your post here once again is all over the place.....Is it an attack on me, the sponsors, AH, Africa, outfitters in general, the hunting industry or Sean Michaels (who by the way is not a sponsor nor even on AH as far as I know)?
You suggest that myself and my wife are stand up people but in the same paragraph you say that "They have about 95% integrity". In my book you either have integrity or you don't. And bringing my wife on to this thread has no place what-so-ever and honestly is very upsetting to me personally.
I certainly do not know everything that all of the sponsors do but I can tell you over the years that I have discontinued a sponsorship when I did not feel that this particular outfit was the right fit for our community. I have also refused over the years sponsorships to more than a dozen businesses for various reasons including ethical concerns. I have no reason to believe at this time that any of our sponsors are "crooked" or "con artists", "scam artists" or have "stolen" from you.
I would like to say that just because a hunt does not turn out the way you imagined that does not mean the people are crooked or doing something illegal or are con/scam artists. These are very strong words that should be considered carefully before using them.
Since even the moderators will protect these people I will leave names off but if anyone wants my list of people on this site not to use please send me a private message and I will gladly tell you where the scam artists are hiding in Africa hunting.
I have never "protected" any sponsor of the site from negative reports or product reviews ever! I want everyone on AH to know that I want to know if you have a negative experience with a sponsor of the site, please tell me! Tony, once again I invite you to post in detail the negative experiences that you have had. Please let us know about these 30 animals that have been stolen, were they lost from the taxidermist, confiscated, kept because invoices were not settled or were they stolen from your trophy room? I just say that to make the point that I cannot make heads nor tails of your accusations. Please tell me who are these sponsors that I have protected and what I have I done to protect them????
Heck did anyone know that sean Michaels with mcmillan river adventures shot a croc in a 100 foot by 100 foot pen? Yep! And then he convinced me to go on the same hunt.
He "convinced" you to go on the same hunt? I think that we as hunters bear personal responsibility for the decisions that we make in the field whether we have a guide next to us or not. I have always advocated due diligence to all hunters going anywhere in the world. Do lots of research, knowledge is your friend. I suggest this if it is your first hunt or your 30th. One of the main reasons that I started this site was to give hunters more resources to be able to do just that.
AH always has and always will allow positive or negative reports on any business including sponsors and allow them the opportunity to respond as long as it's done in a proper way. I certainly do not want AH to be used as an avenue to bash on people's reputation or businesses without hearing the full story. We must always remember that these are people's lives and livelihoods. It's just a little too easy to throw out a few angry words and inflammatory accusations without backing them up and impact someone's life, job, reputation, income and family.
