I haven't had to follow up on anything yet. A fallow deer that was shot in the lungs and liver went a maximum of 50m. If I put the right thing in the right place, the 7x64 will fulfill its mission without any fuss. I've had a rifle in this caliber since 2016 and so far I've only had good experiences, it has never let me down. I don't know what happened to those who had bad experiences with this caliber. IMHO, if I follow basic good hunting practices, if I know what I have in my hands and I also pay attention to hunting ethics, I shouldn't have any problems with any caliber, especially not with the 7x64 in all of Europe. (Attachment: Fallow Deer Doe, fell on the spot from 70-80m)The cartridge 7x64 Brenneke was widely used by many French hunters, not because of its various ballistic advantages, but above all because there was little alternative to the ban on all military cartridges in the class 6,5mm to 8mm before the legislation was changed. Unfortunately, this has sometimes given the cartridge a bad reputation if they was not appropriate used.
