.458 win mag for North America

IF you are only going to use open sights on this rifle, then you should put very good sights on it. if you are going to scope it, well, then the open sights are backup. still be nice to have good sights on it, but if there is a scope on the gun, you will rarely if ever use the sights.
Gun came with a old bushnell banner scope but I don’t trust that it can hold up to the recoil. it may be just fine with these 350’s.

Haha the scope cost less than a box of ammunition!

Yup ain’t paying for glass either. I didn’t even pay for the rifle traded 2 basket case motorcycles and buddy gave me $400 on top.

Well I finally got around to shooting these loads.
At 70 yards(max I could get at my friends place) off hand I got about a 3 inch group with the hornady 350gr round nose and 67.5gr of accurate 2015. Primers look fine no unburnt powder in the bore and recoil was about that of a 12ga 2 3/4 rifled slug I think I found my bear load.

You may want to try 450 TSX or other long bullets in your WM and see what the group size is. Some (most?) WM do not like short bullets. Have reloaded for two and could get MOA or very close to that with 450 or 500 grain bullets but accuracy was much worse with 3-400 grain. Short bullets are out of the brass before engaging rifling, and that is usually rough on accuracy.

Their good enough for what I’m doing as long as it’s in the heart/lungs of whatever im hunting I’m good to go
