What are you shooting?

2935 with Speer 235 HC@hoytcanon what kinda speeds are you getting from the 375 WSM?
I wanted a short handy gun so I got a Vanguard SA.
Work with what you have.
I think free-bore form the reamer helps with pressure spikes any how.
It’s just ironic that the longest bullet shoots the best so far in a SA cartridge, WTF.
I was getting 100 fps more than that in my .375 Ruger... but I was quite happy to give up that 100 fps.Very good, you are getting about a 100fps more than I expected. Basically a 375 ruger ballistics in a short action case. I have a 376 Styer and I was guessing it would be between that and the ruger.
You gotta admit the older you get the more you like to carry a lighter shorter rifle. I don’t mind a 26” tube on my single shot but gone are the days when I’ll carry a full length bolt gun with one. I couldn’t imagine a 26” barrel w/suppressor, ear plugs are lighter.I have said, "short & handy" many times myself, but truth be told, I am 6'4 and 260 pounds, if I can't handle another 3/4" of gun, it is time to hang up my spurs...

I don't think there is anything wrong with the chrono. Granted I have been using AR2206H, but with similar charge weights I am getting similar velocities. I only went up to 60gr which averaged 2087fps with 400gr Hornady. No pressure signs.First Range Trip w/chronograph, not what I expected:
I) Speer 350gr HC, 55gr IMR3031 1840fps.
Ii) Hornady 400gr RN SP, 54gr IMR3031, 1750fps.
Iii) Barnes 350gr TTSX, IMR 3031 54gr, 2000fps.
Not sure if chrony is ok, should have checked it against a published load I guess?
How do you calibrate them?
It’s an RCBS.
Thanks, gonna try Hodgden or IMR 4895 next.I don't think there is anything wrong with the chrono. Granted I have been using AR2206H, but with similar charge weights I am getting similar velocities. I only went up to 60gr which averaged 2087fps with 400gr Hornady. No pressure signs.
I have now progressed up to 70gr which is just starting to be compressed, but have not got back to the range.
