350gr ttsx in 416

Emailed Barnes for required velocities to expand on the Barnes TTSX. Barnes rep,” An impact velocity of 1700 fps will get you about 1.7x expansion of the bullet’s original diameter. If 2x expansion is desired, which we suggest, then add approximately 100-200 fps.”
Choreographed 350gr TTSX, 54gr IMR3031 compressed at only 2000fps in my 416WSM.
I’m there but not much extra for distance. Will try other loads.

This is .416 350 TTSX at ~2220 fps impact.
edit: if I recall correctly, it was about 3/4" expanded.

Thanks but the Thread is about the 350gr TTSX in 416.
Haven’t been able to find Accurate 2520 yet but want to try it.

Yes, I'm quite sure 75 grains 2520 with the 350 TSX would work good

Will have to see how much 2520 I can fit in my WSM case when I try it.
TTSX seems to shoot well with everything.

Anyone tried pulling tips off the 350gr TTSX bullets and hunting with them?
The tips came off easy enough just gotta load some up.
Reason - I need the powder space in my short action carbine rifle to get more muzzle velocity.

Funny you gotta load down to 2500 and I’m maxed out at 2200fps.
Different rifles different expectations.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
