225lb Leopard taken in Zimbabwe

Well obviously if this lemon dude had anything to do with it what so ever than the cat was obviously illegally taken!..... Or at least that was the attempted inference that I gathered from the post.

Just like the outdoor life headline "The outfitter who guided Donald Trump Jr." ..... so to infer that Don Jr. is an unethical hunter who hires unethical outfitters; why else would you mention Don Jr. in a title about an incident that had NOTHING to do with him?
Yea. We know nothing about the charges or the situation. The headline proves the article is a hit job. It seems most here on AH think the government are all saints and any one accused of a crime is GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY! Not I.
I agree with @IvW what does this have to do with this amazing supercat?

WTF?…. Why would it being shot in Botswana make it illegal?

I think it’s an amazing animal and deserves the respect it’s due.
Here we go. What are people talking about this cat not being legally taken? Is this kindergarten or AH! I'm confused.

Wade Lemon has admitted to and been convicted of some illegal hunting activities in the U.S.. Therefore, when people (myself included) read about anything with his name attached it automatically becomes suspicious.

So guilt by association with zero evidence….. got it!

Couldn’t be a case of “I didn’t shoot it so it had to be taken illegally “… could it? It’d be nice to read an honest account of how, where it was taken…..

I think it is amazing too. The reference was made that the PH was from zim which is the only reason I asked the question.
That's what I thought you meant.

As a side, I sent this on to my PH and good friend. He is licenced in both Zimbabwe and Botswana. Of course, he's heard all about it. He says that it was a true wild leopard, actually did weigh 101 kg, and was legally taken. I've known him for over 40 years, and if that's what he believes, that's what I believe. We can all believe this is one amazing cat!

I just saw a pics on Wade Lemons FB page

Anyone hear about this?View attachment 636180
I'm curious. Was Wade Lemon claiming to be involved in taking this leopard, or dud he just posting the picture on Facebook as something interesting that he had run across.

Accused and arrested is not guilty. Confessed and convicted IS guilty. By the way he was convicted of illegal bear hunting in two separate incidents. Now then, I can't even tell if he was involved in taking this leopard at all, or if he just saw this picture and posted it on Facebook as something interesting.

BTW, my PH and good friend is licenced in both Zim and Botswana and knew about this cat. He says it was all legal.

I only commented because @IvW left one of his classic snarky replies
“Wtf does wade lemon have to do with this leopard”

What do you freaking mean? It literally says Wade lemon on the photograph. That why people were just asking. No big deal.

No one needs to explain to me that he just books hunts in Africa and is a booking agency. No one said this hunt was done illegally.

The hunter who took this cat booked his hunt with wade lemon and paid his money to wade lemon. The the hunt is booked in Africa. We all know how a Us booming agency works.

“Just over a year ago Mike booked this hunt with WLH (wade lemon hunting) with a goal of taking a world class leopard”

People were just curious if that was the same wad lemon they had heard of. The multiple users got Uber defensive and tooo it personally? No one was discrediting the hunt. Just asking questions…

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
