    What caliber for new rifle?

Save the money and go hunt with your grandfathers 375 h&h. That’s my opinion…. Pretty damn cool to have your grandfathers DG gun.

Also friend, when you reinstall the action screws be certain to torque the screws in increments. I usually do 5in increments alternating.

    Advice for my rifle

My model 70 action is that tight as well in the stock. I have to beat it out sometimes. When putting it in i have to tap on it with a rubber hammer, but when it is in it’s good. I was not shooting well with it at all until I changed out the trigger for a 2lbs timney. If the trigger pull is to...

    Model 70 375

I bought a new m70 375 Portuguese made a few months ago for 1650 msrp. I do not regret buy the rifle. The rifle is made well and everything works. I also bought a USA made 458 win mag CRF for 1500 ANIB recently. No regrets at all. I would say 1250 is a good price if it’s CRF and in good shape.

    I Finally did it

Hello Hans, I’ve went with the swaro z8i 1-8x24 4a-if. Found a good deal and could not pass it up. Thanks for recommending the detachable Talley mounts. I was thinking about getting the medium fixed mounts but the detachable mounts sound more appealing. I will be testing and practicing a lot...

    I Finally did it

Hello Shootist, My dad took me on my very first hunt, I would guess around 7 years old for squirrels. From there I moved up to rabbit, then hog, and lastly whitetail. I’m probably your average Texas hunter, nothing special to highlight. I do have many guns that I love to shoot and collect. I...

    I Finally did it

I finally joined Africa Hunting. I will be honest, I’m not a social media guy (kudu of the web). I’ve been reading forums on this website for years. I’ve been to many countries in Africa but only for work. I’ve always wanted to hunt Africa after reading Hemingway as a kid. In the next year or so...
