No more room on the bench so these need a new home- used redding t7 press and 3br powder measure. The powder measure comes with a pistol and rifle micrometer to adjust powder drop. $440 for both shipped lower 48.
Bought it as a bbq gun but have yet to bbq with it! It has made it to the range a couple of times though and it is a very accurate and tight weapon. Overall in very good condition
The only 2 imperfections I can find are - on the barrel bushing and palm safety where it slides against the frame...
well well welll, 2 months later and 458 lott loaded solids are cheaper than people have been selling empty cases on here and 9mm is 20 cents.(free shipping no tax) Ready to admit your wrong?;) If you say sorry ill even be nice enough to share the code, anyone else can send me a direct message...
heres brass thats been rotting at 30 cents a pop(which is still a massive rip off, its a race to the bottom at this point) https://www.ammoshoponline.com/shop/caliber/handgun/9mm-luger/9mm-124-gr-fmj-geco-range-cans-qty-1000-free-shipping/
Lol keep buying it expensive and stacking it shallow...
and here we are 2 weeks later with 9mm approaching precovid prices(it's probably cheaper after you account for the loss in usd buying power). I hope you didn't panic buy too much! Looks like the multi billion dollar ammo company can predict the market a little better than random people on the...
lol you're not a junior high teacher, you don't need to use "settle down" when a healthy debate isn't going your way;) The only reason I even bother typing is the longer people believe the ammo is going away forever conspiracy the longer the prices will be artificially high. This isn't the first...
I think precovid prices in 1-3 years is perfectly reasonable for brass. With steel case out of the picture there is even more market to absorb, price reduction through volume. Again if there is money on the table why would a profit driven company let their competitor take it? There is no...
same raw material, same man power that is in short supply. And yes wasted effort on different packaging and supply chain instead of unbelievably marked up 556. It is the worst of both worlds to switch to 458 unless they are starting to overproduce 556/9mm.(ie the price is too high for demand and...
For them to stop high volume production lines like 5.56 or 9mm to mess with 458 lott brass backorders(not even loaded ammo) is a very good indication they are already starting to feel it
Eh its always doom and gloom. If this demand wasn't temporary, the multi billion dollar primer companies could easily spin up new factories to meet it. They are competing corporations and probably have Phd's dedicated to just market research alone. This isn't the first or last panic buying period.
looks like midsouth just got theirs in, I imagine all the big companies will get their back orders in the next week or two for 458. https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/000038697/458-lott-unprimed-rifle-brass-50-count

After I placed it I ended up finding this ruger no 1 in 458 so no more true "need" for an elephant gun https://www.africahunting.com/threads/wanted-ruger-no-1-in-458-lott.64657/post-845796
Was still thinking about keeping it but in the end I think I will have more fun with a 50 cal so im going...

thanks for your consideration,
wow that walnut looks amazing on the stainless! Your pretty brave going out there so undergunned:) Did the bullet expand at all or was it a clean hole straight through? hoping to crack some coyotes open my self after deer season
Here she is, turned out it was in excellent condition. It was an old farmer who said he shot it maybe 5 times. Came with 4 20 round boxes of hornady factory ammo. I must say I'm a little disappointed in the recoil though. It certainly kicks but its not bad enough to not want another right after...
Should be factory loads, will definitely not shoot someone elses handloads! haha im already going to flinch enough without the thoughts of putting my face behind some bubba loads... Original lott chambering. Will post some pictures once I get it home
Was able to finally track down one locally for $1700. A little more than I was hoping to pay but it comes with dies, rings, projectiles, brass and a couple boxes of loaded ammo. Excited to punish my shoulder!
were you looking to part ways with it? I just put an order in for a sako in 500 jeffery, hopefully that is enough to make me want to start looking a for more practical rifle:D If that isn't enough i think i'm going to be a hopeless case haha
thats all ive heard about them as well. I think im going to pray that the norma stuff eventually makes its way through, ive got it on preputial backorder with optics planet and euro optics
Any luck on the brass? just put in an order for an ol jeff as well and have been on the hunt for some . Can't wait to detach my retinas and never want to shoot it again!
