    Gentlemen I am visiting my daughter in Brooklyn New York next week. Is there a museum in the area where I can see a full mount of an African elephant or even the skeleton? Going to hunt in Namibia next year. Thanks for any advice. Only Asian elephants in Australia.

    Magnificent shot. I have to pull and then reload some new .416 Rigby cartridges and replace the projectiles with Woodleigh Hydros. Hunting for a bull elephant next year. My rifle is a scoped Mauser 98E. Sure hope I can do as well. Did you use sticks or freehand?

    My Mauser 98E in .416 Rigby with scope and fully loaded with 400gr ammo weighs a bit less than 6 kg. Moderate recoil especially when a buff is in the scope :)

    Sorry I live in 2 countries: Australia and Indonesia. Australia will not allow cats or elephants. Indonesia allows with CITES certificate.
