My experience with Hornady brass is that it is relatively soft and I won’t use it again. Thankfully I don’t have a 375 or 416 Ruger.

So…I would go at it like a revolver side plate. Put the muzzle down onto a couple of pillows, then use a rubber mallet to tap the heel and toe of the stock (protected with something not too squishy). The inertia of the filler should cause it to lift slightly every time you tap the stock.

I would think you could work out some type of agreement with DSC, SCI, etc to sell them to the organization for a handsome price and allow them to auction them off at their annual meeting. Something like this should bring both of you an ample return on the investment .

That’s why I was asking for the dimensions. Lots of different hoods out there, but the width of the cutout may not be compatible with he Whitworth.

Well that’s outstanding. That flat point in a 275ish weight would fatten anything. My Ackley Whelen has faster twist barrel for such things. Trying to justify the $1K for another hobby isn’t likely to pass muster with the wife though :)

Mine is from 88. I would have loved to get an early example like you 2, but the price was right and it was the Safari configuration. I have always wanted a bolt gun with Safari style Isand Sights and have wanted a 375 for some time. Maybe some day it will make it to Africa.

Hodgdon Manual #26 shows every load developing 2400+ FPS with 350s. That would cause some destruction.

Just drive and twist the case into the foam and you will easily cut the foam. You can source closed cell foam very cheaply in numerous thicknesses.
