Totally depends on you and your situation. I've done both. I've shot most of my game off the truck stalking or sitting in a blind. But I have shot warthogs from the truck. I'm not ashamed to admit it. It was simply no time to get off and do a stalk on in those circumstances.

I've shot some big mid west and Canadian whitetails with this. 165 grain 30.06. Knocks them on their ass every time.

IMO the 3 best & toughest scopes in the world are Zeiss, Swaro & Schmidt & Bender. Just my opinion. I've never had to re-zero any of them. I do use Pelican gun cases for travel though.

Absolutely not! It's about the shot placement. I've seen a lot of plains game shot with 165 grain 30.06 bullets and a gentleman killed a big tom leopard with that grain bullet.
