Not really surprising at all. If you look into the history of the revolutionary war for independence from England it was a minority of colonists who fought for and supported independence. It just takes a very committed minority to be effective.

I think the numbers are way off on the survey. Very, very few are willing to back their beliefs with their life.

Agreed! I wish they would go ahead and leave now be much better without them! (assuming this is the ones who are choosing not to defend their country and fellow man or at least provide support not those who can't do to age or physical inability ect.)

Those were just the ones who were leaving it didn't ask who would actively be fighting that stayed. That percentage would be significantly lower. Luckily it wont take much of a percentage that do to give any enemy one hell of a fight. God Bless America!

I would agree with your assessment if it was based on the once traditional social norms, values, and ideologies that unfortunately no longer dominate this country's culture.. For the last 3 decades we have fostered a culture of victims in this country. I began with the generation where everyone gets a trophy, and it has now culminated into a society where it is an actual crime in certain places to refuse to call an individual by their preferred pronoun because they have chosen to identify as another form of sexual identity that does not biologically exist in nature. These are also the same people that claim masculinity is toxic to society.

The 38% referred to by the OP (I fear it is much higher) are made up of individuals who have earned nothing.. Nor, have they been taught the real cost others have paid for the freedoms they currently enjoy. They have been gifted these entitlements by our society and governments with no personal investments.. If the last 2 years has taught us anything, it is that they have already demonstrated their willingness to trade personal freedoms for a sense of false security.

People will only fight when they have skin in the game. There are every few examples in history of people fighting and dying for what they were gifted over what they earned with their own blood and sweat. These individuals would gladly live under the yoke of any invader as long as they were promised that they could keep their iPhones, skateboards, and skinny jeans...

In my opinion and more importantly my life experiences and observations, you’ve just pretty much summed up our current state of affairs and how we as a society have fallen so far into the abyss. The Roman Empire decayed from within and destroyed themselves. I feel we’re well on our way on the same path and unless something drastic changes soon, we too will become extinct as the Great Democratic Experiment of over 245 years comes to an end.

I believe 50% of them are pussies and wouldn’t do shit!

But back to your point, I don't think those numbers are particularly unique to our time. Fully 1/3 of our colonists were loyalists to the British Crown.

Think about this…Less than 80% of our Active Duty combat forces are deployable within 72 hours. Just last month a federal judge ruled in court a Navy Destroyer couldn’t deploy because the Captain refused his COVID shot.

The US Army Recruiting Command conduct a survey that showed less than 30% of High School Seniors were fit for enlistment…

38% Should Run probably more should be forced out of the battle to make room and resources for those fit and willing to fight.
