SOUTH AFRICA: Hunting With KMG Hunting Safaris In February 2020

I thought rather than send a complete hunting report at the end if the trip I would send a journal with what happens every day.

Tuesday 18 Feb 2020
Left Jakarta on Qatar a bit after midnight and transited in Doha. Now on the way to Johannesburg. Stay a night at the 4 Seasons with my brother who arrived earlier. Marius Goosen will pick us up at 10 AM tomorrow and drive to a town called Alldays in Limpopo. Reading a book on the plane by John Burger titled “Horned Death”. Most entertaining.

Tuesday 18 Feb 2020 continued

Arrived on time using Qatar. A great airline with excellent service and decent food and drinks selection.

We had our temperatures checked before being allowed to disembark.

When I reached immigration there was not a single person present. I walked around and got admonished for not waiting.

After picking up my luggage I was met by a representative from the 4 seasons who took me to a car waiting outside and in 30 mins I was in the hotel. The hotel is fabulous with impeccable service. We enjoyed dinner with South African wines and went back to our rooms.

Look forward to being picked up by Marius tomorrow and starting our trip.

Nice accommodation

We then went to the shooting range and got a course on shooting with the tripods

The bush was green due to rain

George spotted an impala and shot it with the .375

Celebrated with red wine and cigars
