Shiloh Sharps 45-90

Love that rifle, but dies for reloading are hard to find!

@jeff Ya, don't see too many boxes of 45-90 at the local gunshop. I'll throw in a new 3 die set of RCBS for reloading to the buyer........Bill

I'll help you spend your money on a very fine rifle.
@flatwater bill has already sweetened the pot with RCBS dies.

Graf and Sons has Redding dies and Lee Factory Crimp Die, and Midway USA has Starline Brass.

Go ahead and buy it and post some Bison hunt pictures.

I should be getting close to my Quigley at long last, they cashed my check for the balance, should be soon, not too long now, just around the corner.......only been 2 years and 2 months...be patient, wont be long now,....

Bump for a nice Sharps and a good seller. I bought the safe mate to this gun. If not for having more hunts in the works, I would have bought this one too.

@biggergun Ya, that match is June 15 this year. I always planned to go, but then life got in the way. I see that some use model 86's and some Rollingblocks, quite a few use Win Hi and Lows.....but the match was really started for the Sharps Model 74. In fact, the term sharpshooter, and the military ribbon of the same name, was derived from men using the Sharps rifle. Although I own one Purdey shotgun, the fit and finish on this listed Shiloh is every bit as good as that. I think I will drive up there and see if I can generate a little interest in my rifle. Don't think shooting is on the agenda for me....I have had my successes in past competitions, but the calendar has turned too many times. Thanks for the heads up....and @sestoppelman you never know when (if) that Quigley will arrive.....should buy this one just in case................FWB

@Swag Yes, thanks for asking. Put it away after a couple of weeks of not selling, and forgot about it............FWB

A guy could always cut and recrown the barrel and then call it a mid bore stalking rifle

Cutting the bbl on a Shiloh is punishable by 5 years of supervised parole, or one night with Kamala.......FWB
I laughed so hard I spit out my coffee!

I would never cut the barrel on a fine bespoke rifle like this Shiloh Sharps.

Lifetime parole versus a night with the Cackling "Mamala"!

Rear sight looks identical to the one that just arrived on my Quigley after over 3 years. Its an MVA, Montana Vintage Arms.

I’ve had three M1874s. A Shiloh Sharps in 45-70, a C Sharps in 45-110 and an original M74 in 44-90. They will shoot lights out with good loads, good sights and some dedicated practice. I was on the scope calling shots for a friend shooting his Shiloh Sharps 45-70 one morning. He was shooting a 3 shot group at 300 yards to check a load. It was kind of cool and humid and I could see the vapor cloud around each bullet as it dove into the target. Group size was .30” :)

You and your son will enjoy shooting it!

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike
