SOUTH AFRICA: Heading Out For South African Safari With Limcroma Safaris

As this years Safari has come and gone, I find myself just taking a step back and realizing how lucky I am. I have been fortunate enough to marry a lady that supports my addiction, work hard to be able to go on these trips, and get introduced to, in my opinion, the premiere outfitter in South Africa by my wife's uncle. I am not sure how many trips I will continue to make, but I plan to make these trips each year I can afford to. I can't wait for my son to get old enough to go with me and me sit back and watch him relish in the awesomeness of Africa.

So far I have only hunted plains game. Dangerous game is definitely on the horizon. I just want to check a good portion of the plains game off the list. I have been told once you go dangerous, you are really hooked then. I am not sure how much more hooked I could get.

I was very fortunate with the trohpies I took this year. I definitely had mother luck on my side for the animals that presented themselves to me. My PH, Janlou, also worked his rear off to get me in a position to harvest such magnificent animals.

To all the crew at Limcroma, thank you. Thank you for making me feel like family and not just another customer. Thank you for managing your herds properly so everyone has the chance at great animals. Thank you Hannes for running an exquisite operation and taking tremendous pride in what you do by ensuring your PH's are professional, knowledgeable, and personable, by ensuring every minute detail is paid attention to, and by ensuring all your staff is simply put...Amazing in every aspect.

Until next year, I will live vicariously through each of y'alls posts. I wished I could head back next week, but I got to get back on the gravy train to be able to support this addiction.

Thanks brother! Hope next year is just as good! I will probably go after Kings Wildebeest, Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Red Hartebeest, Black Impala, the ever elusive big warthog, and a Kudu 56 or bigger is always on the list!

Safe travels and good hunting. I can't wait for your hunt report. I just spoke with Aart from Limcroma yesterday about hunting with them next year.
Art is an awesome guy! Super funny and straight to the point. Hated I missed him in camp this year.

congrats on an awesome safari and thanks for taking us along for the ride.

Congratulations on a great hunt!

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
