Hunting Areas
South Africa has two major ports of entry by air, namely OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and Cape Town Int. Airport in Cape Town. The hunting concessions located in the Bushveld region can be reached by a short connecting flight from OR Tambo Int Airport to Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit Limpopo. From there your outfitter will collect you and drive to the various hunt areas. The drive by motor vehicle ranges from 30mins to 2 hours by tar road depending on the concession area. The Overberg hunting concessions can be reached by flying directly to Cape Town Int Airport and taking a two-hour drive by motor vehicle on tar roads to the concession areas. The Karoo hunting areas can be reached by either driving from CPT Int Airport or taking a connecting flight to George Airport (without rifles) and then the drive by road is shorter. The Kalahari concession can be reached by flying to Kimberly Airport and driving by road to the concession area.

LIMPOPO ‘BOSVELD’ Hoedspruit is a small agricultural, tourism and fast-growing town located on the cusp of Limpopo about 70 km from the Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park. We hunt a few areas near this town. What makes this area so special is its proximity to East Gate Airport. Most of the dangerous game hunts take place at these concession areas. The thick stuff or “bosveld” makes for an exhilarating and challenging hunt as one needs to get close to the game to get an effective shot.
KALAHARI Located in the North West Province, Vorstershoop is where the Kalahari hunting concession is situated. This province is extremely dry and hot, but when there is adequate rainfall the Kalahari is commonly known as the green Kalahari which makes hunting quite challenging with the tall grass.
KAROO The terrain is vast which makes it one of the most challenging hunting concessions. From flat plains to mountainous and rocky terrains, the Karoo promises to provide an exceptional hunting experience.
OVERBERG Baardskeerdersbos is located in the Western Province of South Africa a mere two-hour drive by motor vehicle from Cape Town International Airport. Species that can be hunted here are the elusive Vaal Rhebuck, Fallow Deer, and Springbuck, to name a few. The winter months are the rainy and wet seasons which is when hunting predominantly occurs at this concession area.

CHICULACUALA CAMP
The CHICULACUALA CONCESSION is one of the few areas left in Africa where you have the opportunity of a true classical big game safari combined with a variety of
plains game and fishing.
