A time to sell & a time to buy

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Lon. I wish you the best.

God Bless and prayers that you have a full recovery

Lon, So sorry that you are going through all of this. We certainly wish you all the best! It's good to know that you have such strong support from your wife. You are in our thoughts.

Sending prayers for you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family! Even though we have never met, thank you for all that you have done for so many others. Your support here alone is evident with so many caring responses.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry you had to part with your rifles to pay for the surgeries. My best for a quick recovery. I look forward to reading all your future posts. A big Way to Go to your wife!

As some of the AH hunting members have known I have been dealing with cancer for a long time and in intense pain for the last year. This week I have sold not only my pre war Rigby .416 DG rifle one of 189 and trust me there is a difference between the original and the ones being made today. To pay for my last operation which takes place tomorrow I had to sell that Rigby another pre war Rigby in.404J. Also sold was my dearly loved Jefferies 404J. What a handy little rifle.

During the years that I have been a sponsor I have enjoyed reading the many posts. Unfortunately a few have just have painful. PF versus CRF. .45-70 for buffalo, embargo on Zimbabwe. How many times can these subjects be beat to death.

As to our continued business operation. Thanks to my wonderful wife she will continue running the business as she has this last year. I am always amazed at her abilities. From a farm girl, to a safari paper shuffler to learner PH to PH. When she is in charge of a camp, a hunt, a broken down vehicle she can do it all. If you wonder why she does not post on the form as a co owner only one owner is allowed to post on the forum. We were told if she claimed to be the agent for the company she would be allowed to post. We do not misrepresent anything. She also read where one member refers to her as a “trophy wife” her reply “axx hxxle”.

Tomorrow will determine what my short term future is, I know what long term will bring. Oh and yes many of my posts have been written while under the influence of prescription drugs, it beats howling like a car hit dog.

I hope my Rigby’s find a good home along side of my Rigby rising bite that I had to sell to pay for my first C op.

Cheers, Lon
I am so sorry to learn of your health issues. Please know that you and your wife and family are in my thoughts and prayers. Sue

Tape a knife in your hand so you can enter Valhalla. I still beat myself up over not doing this for my BIL.

My best thoughts and positive wishes go out to you - and your Family, wishing you a Strong recovery

In my mind his wife is reading this thread to him while he recovers and he gives a smile knowing a world of people (some who know nothing of him other than this forum) are praying and pulling for him. Here in a few days or weeks he'll chime in and we'll all rejoice and gain more insight from his experience as we discuss important and trivial topics of adventure.

I am starting up again I did not think I would live thru this week, I am still in a bad stage of recovery.
I have been in many African hospiitals get into one at your own risk.

This has taken me 2 hrs. To write.

Thanks for the update and the incredible effort. I’ll trust your advice.

You have a lot more stories to tell and lessons to share when you get well!

Get well. Recovery can be a bugger. Glad the surgery is over and and you've started the road to better health. We'll keep you in our prayers.
Bruce
